Courage is what brought me here and what will keep me going.
You can never predict the types of challenging conversations or decisions you’ll need to make, especially since the communication process can not be completely controlled by you.
A measure of courage goes a long way, especially when it comes to difficult conversations, stress-inducing discussions or even new circumstances.
Sometimes incalculable situations arise that call for you to speak up bravely.
I don’t think we can ever anticipate the challenging conversations we need to have. So how can we prepare ourselves to speak up and step out of our comfort zone?
In today’s episode of The Little Shot,™ I want to encourage you to strive for courageous communication.
So let’s think about how we can be more courageous, it never hurts!
The Little Shot is here to build your communication in lots of little shots until you become a Big Shot communicator (in the nicest possible way). Ready for some expressive fuel?

It’s no irony that courage and encourage share the same root.
And what an honour it feels for me to encourage you as a speech pathologist to stay focused on courageous communication.
Before you go make sure you share this post with anyone who you think needs an injection of communication courage.
These weeks have been tough, but we can gain a lot in adversity and challenges serve to expand our skills & world view.
As I always say, communication is like string theory, it’s the foundation of everything, even in challenging times, so KEEP DOING IT!
