Hi!
Dr Sarah Lobegeiger de Rodriguez
I started Voice Science in 2013 because I saw that there was a need for strategic, research based communication consulting.
As a speech pathologist and opera singer I knew there is both a science and art to getting the communication impact you need.
Since that time our team of speech pathologists have been providing communication consulting to individuals and companies.
Sarah is not working with new clients.
Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist
Sarah is a fully qualified Speech Pathologist and Opera Singer (MA Speech Pathology – La Trobe University) who has a special interest in accent reduction/modification and vocal therapy / rehabilitation. She is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathology registered with Speech Pathology Australia.
Professional Operatic Soprano
As an experienced operatic soprano (Master of Opera Performance, Bachelor of Music Performance, Bachelor of English) Sarah is also equipped to address the demands of a performing career on vocal output and can successfully rehabilitate and maximise vocal technique. With her operatic training, Sarah is also available for consultation as a diction, language consultant and vocal health specialist for singers, actors and performers.
See Sarah’s high-performance communication services for executives and emerging leaders if you're wanting to work on your career communication or book Sarah to work directly with your team.
Meet Daphne
Growing up, Daphne has moved across multiple cities in three different countries. And because of this, she understands that communication can be so inextricably linked with one’s identity. As a bilingual speaker herself, Daphne has a big heart for working with and advocating for individuals from various cultural and language backgrounds, as well as a special interest in stuttering therapy and social communication. She is determined to help you develop personalised and unique communication styles that truly reflects who you are.
When working with Daphne, you can trust her to deliver engaging, tailored sessions with a creative flair. She is always on the lookout for new research and is keen to partner with you to help you reach your specific goals and aspirations. Outside of work, you’ll often find her doodling away on her iPad, watching interesting docuseries, and spending time with friends and family.
Daphne is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist. Daphne is also a bilingual speech pathologist who is also proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
Meet Amanda
Growing up in a multicultural country and later as an international student in Australia, Amanda developed a deep appreciation for language diversity and its impact on communication.
Amanda’s journey in speech pathology began in paediatric care, where she first witnessed the transformative power of intervention in children’s lives. However, as her path evolved, Amanda recognised a pressing need to advocate for adults grappling with confidence issues stemming from language and accent differences.
Amanda is dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace their unique linguistic identities and communicate with confidence.
Drawing from her multicultural background, Amanda understands the complexities of navigating diverse linguistic landscapes and the importance of cultural sensitivity in therapy.
Driven by a passion for innovation, Amanda is extremely keen to bridge gaps in access to care and enhance therapeutic outcomes. She strives to provide tailored support to adults seeking to overcome communication barriers and reclaim their voices in a rapidly evolving world.
Outside of work, you’ll find Amanda trying out new cafés with a group of friends, reading a good novel with a cup of coffee, or actively engaging in her newfound interest in bouldering.
Meet Fabian
In the search for a new industry and further studies, Occupational Therapy (OT) found Fabian at the right time (he believes that it was love at first sight as it happens in Spanish telenovelas). During OT studies, Fabian understood the importance of working smarter and not harder. This allowed him to successfully complete his studies and obtain his professional registration in 2017.
Now, 5 years later, Fabian has extensive expertise in the many diverse areas that Occupational Therapy provides support in.
With skills in community, aged care, return to work and disability support services, his favourite areas of practice are:
- NDIS
- Autism
- Community health
- Disability
- Environmental modifications
- Mental health
- Motorized mobility devices
- Occupational rehabilitation
- Rehabilitation
Fabian has a natural capacity to empathise, advocate and help people, all done with a big smile and a practical approachable manner.
In his free time, Fabian enjoys riding his segway around the leafy streets of Melbourne while drinking coffee at the same time, cycling and watching Indian street food videos!
Fabian has a Bachelor of languages (English and Spanish), Master of Translating and Interpreting (RMIT) and a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice from La Trobe University. He is registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and a full member of Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA).
