Voice Science Late, Cancellation & Sickness Policy

We're excited to work with you for your program at Voice Science

Before we get started there's some important information we need you to be mindful of!

Please take a moment to read the following.

Late Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you and we expect you to arrive punctually.

This means you should be in your appointment session no later than 10 minutes after the time scheduled. By this point, our reception team will be in touch with you via email or a phone call to see what is happening. If you fail to attend in the first 15 minutes we will consider your session cancelled and your session will be billed in full.

If you're late to an appointment, your clinician can not provide additional time outside of your 45-minute window to accommodate as this can jeopardise the next client's appointment punctuality and interferes with their workflow significantly.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 2 working days notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged the full session fee.

(Please be mindful of working days notice. If your session is on Tuesday morning and you send an email cancellation on Saturday, this is outside of our cancellation window).

If you do not attend your appointment, cancel or try to reschedule your time with less than 2 working day’s notice:

1) The full fee for the appointment will be billed, or,

2) If the fee has already been paid, a refund will not be given.

If more than two sessions are cancelled, the Voice Science team can elect to decline future service.

Sickness Policy

Sessions that are cancelled with less than 48 hours due to illness will require a medical certificate to avoid the full session fee in all cases.

Please note, as with most medical practitioners (your doctor, physio, dentist etc), it can be difficult to reach us by phone for discussion outside of appointments. Leave a message if you can not speak with us directly and send an email as well.
