5 Rules for Charismatic Voice

Episode 12
Enrol in the High-Performance Communication Audit

Can you learn charismatic voice techniques?

Who has the most charismatic voice you’ve ever heard?

We all have strong preferences when it comes to actors we adore or public speakers that move our insides with the power to act, grow and strive to be more productive.

But can we quantify their stage presence?

What is it that adds star factor?

I’ll always argue that you’re born with a sparkle.

You ever have it, or you don’t.

I think thespians are born, not made. They get better with training, but that initial flare for an audience and the ability to hold the listener in their hand arrives at birth.

That’s a forthright opinion that I’ve formed from my artistic observation as an opera singer.

But is there more than personal opinion when it comes to mapping charismatic voice?

And more importantly, is it even worthwhile for “boring” communicators to try to be more charismatic?

Absolutely.

There are some definite trends that speech science researchers link to higher ratings of charismatic voice.

And now for one of my most loved topics.

What is it that makes people fascinating and compelling when they speak?

I could read research papers on charismatic voice forever!

Today I’ve compiled 5 Rules for Charismatic Voice from my latest reading, and I’m thrilled to share them with you.

The good news is, this stuff is legit.

There are a few tips that will surprise you, so be sure to watch this episode.

The Little Shot is here to build your communication in lots of little shots until you become a Big Shot communicator (in the nicest possible way). Ready for some expressive fuel?

How is your voice for public speaking?

It’s often good to consider what feedback you’ve received in the past about your public speaking abilities or potential. If you’re completely unsure how you present when delivering workshops, team meetings or presenting in larger forums, it pays to check.

A core element in your communication tool stack is your ability to convey a well-formulated message and expressive voice tone to match. Just like you wouldn’t drive a Bugatti on a road full of potholes, you shouldn’t present a fantastic message with a rough and patchy voice tone. Your voice is the source through which you transmit your ideas, your feelings and even your identity. Doesn’t it deserve some fine-tuning?

Our team can help, if you need even more strategies after watching this video. We will partner with you to first get a thorough audit of your voice specifically for High-Performance Communication and implement the perfect strategies to enhance your message content and delivery.
